We then open the individual product packaging box, the first thing you see is a white, thick enough soft foam foam foam layer, and is filled on both sides and all sides, this protection is too abnormal.I'll show you the pictures.

As we continue to open it, we can see the well-placed lights and their accessories. The place where the product is placed and the place where the part is placed are separated by a small protective layer to prevent metal or other aluminum products in the part from getting into the light and causing damage to the light, and the main part is also sealed with anti-static bags to prevent light beads from being damaged.

Let's take everything out and put it on the table so we can be more careful. As you can see, the parts are metal hangers, copper columns, connectors, Dimmer, power supplies, and power cords.

Let's take a look at the manual first. The manual is very thick and there are seven languages. I will take two pages of the manual in English and show them to you.

Of course, the light certification is also complete. CE and RoHS are available, and the quality is guaranteed.

The light has a total of 576 beads, including two-color ranges. Among them, 504 beads emit warm white light with a color temperature of 3200K.72 beads emit red light, and the wavelength of red light wave is 660nm.

Now I hang up this light, put it straight and flat, and set up a coordinate system for spatial measurement of this light according to my previous practice of doing evaluation. Again, let's measure the area of the light when growing plants

1. Let's first measure the spatial distribution of the light quantum flux density of this light

We placed the measuring mesh cloth with the dimensions I had drawn before directly under the light, and then measured the quantum flux density of light at each point on the mesh cloth by setting the distance between the light bead and the mesh cloth as 12 inches, 18 inches, and 24 inches respectively.

The whole process is quite complicated, that is, constantly changing the position and height. I have sorted out the specific measurement values for you and marked them directly on the measuring grid. As shown in the following three pictures.

Let's take the data from the above three measurements, and from the side view, we can make the following conical light distribution map.

The simple calculation method of how much area a plants planting light can cover is to find the distance between the boundary and the center point of the photosynthetically available light quantum flux density (PPFD) value of 150, within this radius, it can meet the lighting demand of  seedling period.

The other is to find the distance between the boundary and the central point with the value of the photosynthetically available light quantum flux density (PPFD) of 600, which can meet the illumination requirements of the growing period and flowering period of plants within this radius.

2. How much area can this  growing light cover if it is used to grow plants seedlings?

We used the usual small pot with a square opening, with a size of 3.93 inches (10 cm). ECO FARM QUANTUM BOARD LED GROW LIGHT can cover an area of 14.3 square feet or 108 plants. The appropriate light intensity of plants seedlings was 200±50

3. How much of the growing and flowering plants can be covered by this plants planting light?

We used a medium-size pot with a square cut in the growing season. The pot size was 11 inches (27.94 cm). From the above data, the intensity of this light is not particularly high, the coverage area is not particularly large, so if you are a large area of planting, you need to arrange a lot of this light. So I suggest, when large area planting, the best with an HPS high-pressure sodium light or CMH gold halide light so can make up for this defect. Let's see the quality of this light

Finally, we use an electric power testing instrument to actually check whether this light is really power-saving. First, we see its instantaneous power, which shows 238.3w, which is similar to the 240w given in the manual. It is normal for the instantaneous power to fluctuate near the average power.

Now let's turn this light on for 7 hours to test the actual power consumption.

As can be seen from the picture, we have lit this light for 419 minutes in total, and the actual electricity consumption is only 1.54kwh, while that for 24 hours is 1440 minutes. In this way, the electricity consumption for 24 hours in a day is about 1.54*1440/419=5.29kwh. At $0.125 a kilowatt-hour, you could cover 12 square feet of plants nursery space for just $0.66 a day.1 square foot (sq.ft)=0.092903 square meters (sq.m), which means it can cover 1.1 square meters. The following is my evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of this plants planting light after the actual test.

Finally, I will give you a summary of the actual measurement of this light, this light has the following five advantages:

(1) the spectrum is very good, very close to the spectrum of the authoritative plants cultivation light of the Fluence brand.

(2) the illumination area is relatively large. In the 240-watt  planting lamp, it can be regarded as illuminating a relatively large area.

(3) the quality is really excellent, the main core components are the brand products produced by big factories, the application of three years should not be bad.

(4) the price is really cheap. You can hardly find a cheaper 240-watt plants light on the market.

(5) it is can adjust the brightness of the light, so it is very good for small farmers, the pot seedling stage can turn the light power is small, the growth and flowering again big, just a light can meet the growing plants , and also can choose the appropriate power and not waste electricity, it is for small farmers tailor-made products.

The disadvantages of this light are as follows:

(1) this light is only coated with waterproof paint, and it is directly exposed to the air, so it is basically not waterproof. If you use spray irrigation, you can't use this light.

(2) the intensity of this light is not particularly high, if you are a large area of planting, it is better to cooperate with an HPS high-pressure sodium lamp or CMH gold halide lamp, so as to make up for this defect.
